College Mannequin Epilogue: Botched Spell 1
A man and a woman entered the dorm room that Amber and the Mannequin torso formally known as Judy shared and looked at the strange tableau in front of them.
After looking around for a few seconds the man spoke, “This is how you discovered the room this morning Miss. Williams?” The Dean of Admissions asked of his Administrative Assistant.
“That's right Mr. Lane, after her professors had reporting never seeing her in class this semester I came over to check her room and found it this way.”
“It looks like Amber Le Doux has all of her belongings here. Have any of the other residents of the dorm seen her at all?” Mr. Lane asked.
“No sir, the girls across the hall say the last time they actually saw her was at the end of the spring semester.” She replied.
“What about her parents? Any word from them?” He asked.
“No, I've called and left a couple of messages but I have not received a call back.” she replied.
Mr Lane sighed and said, “OK, what about the other resident that shows up as Amber's roommate? What about her?” He asked.
“Well, that's a strange one. Judy Parker is shown as being registered at the school since the beginning of last semester but no one ever recalls seeing her and when we called the contact info in her records the person on the other end said they have never had a child with that name. We are thinking that someone was committing fraud using that identity sir.” She explained.
“There's nothing for it then. Keep trying to get in touch with Amber Le Doux's parents and get to the bottom of this mystery.” He said.
“Follow standard protocol on the room then?” She asked of him.
“Yeah... Gather all of Amber's belongings and put them in storage so maintenance can get the room ready for other students. If you can't make contact with her folks after a month has passed then dispose of her belongings as you see fit Miss Williams.” He said as he turned around and left the room.
Miss Williams turned off the lights and shut the door, locking it before heading back to her office, leaving the two mannequins alone in the dark.
